Gary S. Herman
Gary Herman, President of Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, Inc., is a consumer credit specialist and a AFCPE Certified Credit Counselor. He has been a part of Consolidated for over 14 years and his expertise in establishing operations and marketing policies, hiring, and training Financial Counselors, has been a crucial advantage in Consolidated's success.
As an expert who examines consumer credit trends, causes and effects of financial over-extension, Mr. Herman has been able to predict the needs of financially burdened consumers and provide Consolidated's certified counselors with the tools and educational materials required to keep ahead of the public's needs.
Mr. Herman serves on the Board of Directors for 2-1-1 First Call For Help, Inc. (2-1-1 Broward) which provides 24-hour comprehensive Helpline and support services for individuals in our community seeking crisis intervention assistance and/or information and referrals to health and human services in Broward County. In 2004, Mr. Herman was elected as the Vice President for the Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies (AICCCA). He was also asked by the United Way to serve on the South Broward Regional Advisory Committee. Most recently Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, Inc. won the Union Planters Bank and South Florida Business Journal 2003 Business of the Year Award in the nonprofit category. In 2006, under Mr. Herman’s leadership, Consolidated Credit Counseling Services won the 2006 Best Places to Work in South Florida award.
Mr. Herman's past experience includes many years as a financial analyst for Capital Analyst of Washington, Inc. He performed tax, business, and financial planning for the owners of large private corporations. Immediately prior to joining Consolidated, he was a territory manager for G.D. Searle. He received a dual degree Finance and Marketing from The American University in Washington DC.
