April Lewis-Parks

April Lewis-Parks is our consumer affairs advocate and she is dedicated to generating publicity about personal finance topics to educate the public.
She develops surveys and polls to collect data concerning consumers' financial needs and subsequent to her findings, she develops promotional material and community outreach programs. Topics have included: Budgeting 101, Getting Out of Debt for Good, Credit Management - What You Need To Know, and Acquiring Smart Spending Habits.
Her promotional efforts can be seen in past issues of the New York Times, Washington Post, Newsday, Consumer Reports, the Business Journals, Money Magazine, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Family Circle, among others.
She also keeps our staff current on the latest financial, credit, and debt related news. Prior to joining Consolidated she was the promotions and public relations manager for a travel and event firm and previous to that, she was employed by John Hancock Financial Services, Inc. where she counseled employees on 401K and IRA accounts.
She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Mass Communication from Emerson College.
