Employment data shows increases in April, according to ADP
New data released by ADP have found that national employment figures saw increases in many sectors across the country during April, providing job help to those who are in need of money while they find their way out of debt.
According to the payroll firm’s latest National Employment Report, nonfarm private employment in April increased by 32,000 compared to the month prior. In March, employment had initially been reported as a decline of 23,000, but was later revised to an increase of 19,000.
While medium-sized businesses, which ADP defined as those with between 50 and 499 employees, increased employment by 17,000, the largest increase seen by a group of employers. Large businesses – those with more than 500 employees – saw payrolls increase by 14,000 during the month, while small businesses with less than 50 workers saw employment only edge up by 1,000.
While an accurate indicator of the county’s employment situation, the ADP data does not include any of the federal hiring for the 2010 Census that will be included in U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released later this week.
